In an ideal world all website owners running Joomla 1.5 should be migrated to either Joomla 2.5 or Joomla 3 however we understand this is not practical and will do our very best to educate you on what options are available so you can make informed decisions about your website and the implications of running out of date software.
So I,m running a Joomla 1.5 Website Now What?

If you are not in a position to upgrade your website then here are a few hints and tips that you can do right now.
Hosting
Some hosting providers will no longer support Joomla 1.5, if you are not hosted with Joogle Web Services be sure to speak with your hosting provider as soon as possible to find out if or when support will stop.
If you are hosted with Joogle web services we are still supporting Joomla 1.5 however we cannot guarantee that this will be the case in the long term given our Hosting provider updates its servers regularly to keep up with security and the fast paced world of web technologies.
Server Upgrades
Some website may experience problems when programming languages such as PHP are upgraded causing websites running out-dated languages to no longer function. We have just completed such a migration from PHP 5.2 to PHP 5.4. This means that the older websites using PHP 5.2 have become out dated, this is the case for Joomla 1.5
We have taken steps for all our clients running Joomla 1.5 to support this migration however as new updates are applied to our servers this will impact Joomla 1.5 websites in the near future.
Plan to upgrade your Website
Plan to update your website in the near future. If you can’t do it now be sure to take this into account when planning for the next year for your business. If you are dependent on your website for business unfortunately you may have to look at this sooner rather than later.
Security for Joomla 1.5
Make sure your Joomla 1.5 has the latest 1.5.26 security patch. If you are not sure how to do this, speak with your web developer to organise this to be done as soon as possible.
Make sure all your extension such as booking systems or e-commerce shopping carts are up-to-date.
Scan your website regularly, there are free tools to do this such as Sucuri Site Check, it is free and will tell you important information about your website, for example if you are on any blacklists.
